All About Me
Hi everyone! My name is Anissa Saenz-Ochoa and I am a current freshmen attending Arizona State University West. I am an Elementary Education major with a spark of interest in Bilingual Education. I am a proud Arizona native and call Peoria my home. A few words I'd use to describe myself would include passionate, ambitious, determined, and caring. I have a huge heart and grow attached to things very easily. This past year, I have become very passionate about my choice to pursue a career in education. I thrive on the idea of shaping our children's minds and preparing them for the future. However my interest in Bilingual Education has grown recently stronger and is derived from several areas in my life. I am a proud Mexican American who loves both cultures immensely. I grew up in a home where Latin culture was heavily emphasized and practiced. This is where my heart is; this is a part of who I am. I chose El Salvador because I assumed it's culture would be very similar to my own. I am fascinated by its small size and its large flavor.
